Insurgency: Sandstorm
Insurgency: Sandstorm was originally revealed way back at E3 2017. After going down rather nicely on PC in the four years since, it’s finally found a home on Xbox and PlayStation too. Should you be after what many see as the definitive tactical first-person shooter – your time has come.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (with full optimisation in place), PS4 and PS5, Insurgency: Sandstorm sweeps onto console to allow a whole new market of gamers the chance to take in a critically acclaimed depiction of modern warfare.
When you then consider that it also deals in competitive PvP match ups for up to 20 at a time and some highly realistic attention to detail thrown in too, then Insurgency: Sandstorm is a bit of a tempter.
It throws you into a variety of war-torn environments as you and your friends are left to work their way through a number of different game modes. Whether you go alone, with mates or against mates, Insurgency: Sandstorm promises to power up with nothing short of huge amounts of immersion.
Insurgency: Sandstorm also allows for some decent customisation in terms of both your character and the weaponry you’ll have to hand too – basically, if you’re looking for a new FPS to get your teeth into, before the big Call of Duty and Battlefield squads land soon, Insurgency: Sandstorm should be right at the top of your list.
Key features include:
– Team up in intense 8-player co-operative gameplay
– Compete in objective-based PVP matches with up to 20 players
– Get immersed with realistic ballistics and stunning attention to detail
– Fully customize your character and weapons
– Unprecedented audio design with positional voice-chat for a heart-pounding atmosphere
Our full review of Insurgency: Sandstorm on Xbox Series X|S will be thrust out as soon as it possibly can, but for now you’ll find the download you require available from the Xbox Store or PlayStation Store. You’ll find the game on PC through Steam too.
